Murray Miller

March 23, 1929 — November 1, 2019

Murray John Miller was the grandson of Scottish immigrants and former resident of Grand Rapids and Harbors Springs, Michigan passed away peacefully at home November 1 in Green Bay, WI. He was born March 23, 1929, to the late William & Pauline Miller and was raised in Riverside, IL.

Murray attended Ashville School for his secondary education and DePauw University attaining a degree in Bacteriology. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. It was at DePauw that he met the beautiful red headed girl, Nan Warren, that would become his wife. A veteran of the Korean War he served in theater in Japan and Korea with a field rank of Captain and was discharged as first Lieutenant. His successful career was in sales with Scientific Products division of American Hospital Supply Corp/Baxter International retiring in 1991.

This college couple married and shared 64 years together enjoying life. Murray was a great athlete and was always up for a tennis game, sailing or skiing. He found contentment is his beautiful vegetable gardens, perfecting his yard and reading a good book. He delighted in his grandchildren and was always fun when they visited. He was a kind, gentle man.

He is survived by his sons, Kimon (Jenny Halron) and Benjamin (Barbara Bush), and daughter Marinda Carlton. Grandchildren Jane (Tyler) Degeneffe & Andrew (Libby) Miller, Elizabeth Raljevic & William (Haley) Miller and Graham Carlton. Great grandchildren Madeline & Charlie Degeneffe and Sofia and Amelia Raljevic. Sister Judy (John) Dunn and Sister in law Diane Anderson. His wife Nan and brother Hutton preceded him.

The family extends our gratitude to Bellevue Senior Community and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.

Services will be November 16, 2019 at New Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 2401 Deckner Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301. Visitation will be 10 AM and service at 11 AM with military rights immediately following.
