He was born March 23, 1929, to the late William & Pauline Miller and was raised in Riverside, IL. Murray attended Ashville School for his secondary education and DePauw University attaining a degree in Bacteriology. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. It was at DePauw that he met the beautiful red headed girl, Nan Warren, that would become his wife. A veteran of the Korean War he served in theater in Japan and Korea with a field rank of Captain and was discharged as first Lieutenant. His successful career was in sales with Scientific Products division of American Hospital Supply Corp/Baxter International retiring in 1991. This college couple married and shared 64 years together enjoying life. Murray was a great athlete and was always up for a tennis game, sailing or skiing. He found contentment is his beautiful vegetable gardens, perfecting his yard and reading a good book. He delighted in his grandchildren and was always fun when they visited. He was a kind, gentle man. He is survived by his sons, Kimon (Jenny Halron) and Benjamin (Barbara Bush), and daughter Marinda Carlton. Grandchildren Jane (Tyler) Degeneffe & Andrew (Libby) Miller, Elizabeth Raljevic & William (Haley) Miller and Graham Carlton. The family extends our gratitude to Bellevue Senior Community and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
