Marlene (Kesler) Neerdaels

June 27, 1935 — January 13, 2015

Marlene J. (Kesler) Neerdaels, 79, Allouez, passed away while on vacation in Florida at Physicians Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, with family by her side. Born on July 27, 1935, in Hickory Corners, WI, she is the daughter of the late Tracy Kesler and Beatrice (Ernst) Kesler. Marlene graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1953. She and friends from her graduating class still enjoyed having lunch together monthly, a tradition that continued for over 61 years! After graduation, Marlene worked at Beemster Electric, then as a seamstress for Hillcrest Homes. Most of Marlene’s career was spent as the office manager at Packer Valley Title.

Marlene married the love of her life, Ronald G. Neerdaels, on June 8, 1955, at Annunciation Church in Green Bay. As wonderful role models, the couple remained committed to “happily ever after, until death do us part” for the next 60 years!

Marlene loved Packer games and enjoyed watching Green Bay beat Dallas recently. She also enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking, and all times spent with family – especially the 4th of July holidays “Up North” at the cottage, and Christmas Eve parties when all of the college kids were home from school.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Ron Neerdaels; four daughters, Sue (Greg) Lubinski, Julie Baird, Laura (Andy) Farah, and Mary (Pete) Bauer; three sons, Chuck (Natalia) Neerdaels, Mike (Jenni) Neerdaels, and Ron Jr. (Paula) Neerdaels; 23 grandchildren; one sister, Dori Nelson; one brother and sister-in-law, Tracy (Joanne) Kesler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Delight (Grant) Stewart, June Domke (friend, Orbie Bodart), and Alfreda (Bob) Kane; two brothers-in-law, Robert “Bob” Nelson, and Oliver Herrick; four nephews, Glen Stewart, Darrell Kane, Robert Nelson, Jr., and Roger Nelson.
