Linda Jelinski

October 10, 1944 — March 13, 2016

Linda Jelinski, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her home in Allouez surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on October 10, 1944, and from that day until her sudden death, she illuminated all those around her with a graceful spirit and an elegant kindness that will leave a lasting mark on all those who knew and loved her. She was born in Appleton to the late Bill and Estelle (Hansel) Eilts, and was the oldest of four children. Linda spent much of her early years on her grandparent’s farm where she cultivated a plethora of fond memories that she would later pass down to her children and grandchildren. While attending a Green Bay East High football game in 1962 she met Richard (Dick) Jelinski. She married Dick on June 24, 1963, and within five years two daughters were born to them.

Linda and her husband owned and operated Allouez Memorial Works for 40 years. She was an avid reader, and preferred mystery novels – a passion she would impart to her daughters. A Packer fan her whole life, she would often tape games and re-watch them many times throughout the year. More than anything, Linda dedicated her life and energy to the family she loved so dearly, and who returned that love in kind. A devoted wife, a loving and attentive mother, a caring beyond reproach grandmother and supportive sister, Linda lived her life in the pursuit of helping others live their own. She would not let a day go by without mentioning in some way how proud she was of the close-knit family she helped to create, and her love was paid back in kind by all those who cherished her.

Linda is survived by her husband Richard (Dick); her daughters: Lisa Jelinski of Allouez, and Sherri Heim of De Pere; her grandchildren: Blake Jelinski and Alyssa Heim; one brother: Jeff (Bonnie) Eilts of Allouez; two sisters: Nancie (Teri) Luther of Lodi and Shelly (Jeff) Martin of Oneida; many nieces and nephews.

Linda was also preceded in death by granddaughter Stephanie.
