July 3, 1937 — May 7, 2014

Lawrence “Larry” A. Wendricks, Sr., 76, died peacefully with family by his side from cancer on Wednesday morning, May 7th. Born on July 3, 1937, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Lawrence “Peg” and Dione Mary (Lemeronde) Wendricks. Larry served his country in the US Army followed by the US Air Force as a Jet Engine Specialist. He then worked for the City of Green Bay for several years as a very talented diesel mechanic. Larry retired from Green Bay Metropolitan Sewage District at the age of 56. He had a love for Chevy Corvairs and spent many hours restoring them. Larry loved to go camping and fishing on Lake Michigan with family and friends, trolling for Salmon and Lake Trout. He enjoyed spending the winters in Rockport, TX with his late brother, Tom. Two of his favorite television events were NASCAR racing and of course, “The Price is Right”.

He is sadly missed by his two sons, Lawrence “Larry” A. Wendricks, Jr. and his wife, Tricia, Larry’s favorite granddaughter, Ashley, and Larry’s favorite grandson, Nathon; his other son, Scott Wendricks of California; Larry's brother, Norbert (Jean) Wendricks; sister-in-law, Phyllis Wendricks; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom (Bernice), Robert, and Roger, and also his former wife, Nancy Wendricks.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, a private family service was held.

A special thank you is extended to all the nurses and staff of Unity Hospice and to the staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Med-Surge 1.

“Dad we will have a PBR on you!”
