Lawrence “Larry” Johnson, 73, Green Bay, passed away Monday afternoon, March 16, 2015, at a local hospital. Born April 5, 1941, in Luxemburg, he is the son of the late Kenneth and Anne (Lindstead) Johnson. Larry served in the US Army from 1959-62 and in the Reserves until 1965. He married the former Mary Lucille Hager in Green Bay on May 4, 1992. Larry was an employee of Procter and Gamble, retiring after 39 years of faithful service. He will be remembered as a kind man, always willing to help and also for his enjoyment of riding the go-carts at Bay Beach, bowling and spending time with his dog, Nicky.
Larry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary; three children, Natalie (Jason) Gray, California, Jenny (Chuck) Reineck, Las Vegas, NV, and Larry Johnson, Jr., Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Adam and Brandon Reineck; four step-children, Tina Hager, De Pere, Bill Hager, Lena, Lynn Poehler, Sturgeon Bay, and Wayne (Lori) Hager, Oconto Falls; seven step-grandchildren, Keith Hager, Heather Hager, Billie Jean Hager, Josh Hager, Tamara (Nick) Dolata, David Poehler, and Micheal Poehler; one step-great-grandchild, Austin Hager; three sisters, Betty (Al) Everson, Sturgeon Bay, June (Robert) Taicher, Green Bay and Edith Robenhurst, Denmark; one brother, David (Mary) Brown, Kewaunee; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bill, Donald, and Harold Johnson.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of the funeral. Funeral service at 7:00 pm followed by full military honors.
