Kathleen A. Van Eyck passed into heaven on January 14, 2014. She was born October 8, 1934, to the late Alphonse and Viola (Bruyere) Van Eyck. Her mother died when she was 9 months old and she was then raised by her aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Philip Van Eyck.
When she became an adult, she was adopted by her aunt, Elizabeth. Kathy had two biological brothers, James and Roger and two sisters through adoption, Mildred (Russell Peterson) (Norman Wilson) and Mabel (Rendall) De Groot.
Kathy graduated from East High School in 1952 and worked at Olson Transportation for many years after which she was employed by the City of Green Bay in the Purchasing Department.
She was an avid Packer fan and loved to travel. Kathy enjoyed reading novels, bowling, shopping and was a very generous person. She enjoyed taking her young nieces and nephew to movies and to Kaaps for sundaes. Kathy had a soft spot in her heart for animals and gave generously to support animal causes.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Linde (Ed) Sinclair, Karen (Tom) Camilli, Ron (Jody) De Groot, Joy Peterson, Jill (John) Verheyen, Susan (Joseph) Boucher, Gary (Shelby) Van Eyck, Vicky (Kris) Vandervest, Keith (Carol) Van Eyck, Jeff (Jenny) Van Eyck, Pat Van Eyck, and Mike Van Eyck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, brothers and sister and nephew, Jerry Van Eyck.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass Friday 11:00 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating, Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
