Kathleen A. Malcore, 91, Green Bay, died peacefully Wednesday evening at a local nursing home. Kathleen is the daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn Carstensen. She met Gordon Malcore on a blind date while attending West High School. As soon as Gordy finished mortuary school in Milwaukee they were married. Kathleen was a stay-at-home mother busy raising six children while Gordon was the third generation owner of Malcore Funeral Home. He preceded her in death in 1997. Kathleen spent her remaining active years working for the funeral home running errands. In her younger days Kathleen and Gordy loved dancing, big band music, golfing, boating, playing cards, the Packers, and times spent in Door County. Kathleen will be remembered for her ‘unforgettable’ sense of humor, love of birds and flowers. She had a deep faith in God, a giving heart and made sure each good-bye ended with the lyrics to a song or an expression of her love for you.
Survived by her five children: David (Jeanie) Malcore, Dan (Mary) Malcore both of Green Bay, Mary Kay (Dan) St. Pierre of DeBary, FL, Joan Malcore of De Pere, and Lori Oudenhoven of St. Paul, MN; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one sister: Joan Jossart of De Pere; one daughter-in-law: Joy Malcore; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Also preceded in death by one son: Mark Malcore; one sister: Judy Carstensen; one brother-in-law: Robert Jossart.
Friends may call at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, from 4 – 8 P.M. Sunday. Monday visitation will continue at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral mass. Funeral Monday 11 A.M. at SS. Peter & Paul Church with Rev. Richard Mauthe officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in her memory.
