Kathleen A. Johnson-Leidel, 60, Green Bay, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2014, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born August 24, 1954, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late John and Adolphine (Deprez) Johnson. Kathy graduated from East High School, Class of ’72. She married William Leidel on May 1, 2004 in Green Bay. Kathy was employed with Amerprise Auto and Home. She will be remembered as an avid Brewer and Packer fan who also enjoyed throwing darts.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Billy; one son, Jeremy Johnson (special friend, Heather Hazaert); five grandchildren, Aiden, Isabella, Riley, Alyssa, and Bryahna; one brother, Keith Johnson (special friend, Shelly Nooyen); brothers-in-law, Curt (Ann) Leidel, Jim (Sharon) Leidel and John (Shari) Leidel; sisters-in-law, Karen (Mike) Francis and Amy Hollett; canine companion, Remington “Tin”; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Theresa Ann Gillett; her son’s father, Richard Baril; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Marlene Leidel.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St. Sunday, Oct. 26, from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 5:30pm with Rev. Ken DeGroot, O. Praem officiating. Visitation continues Sunday evening after the funeral until 8pm at the funeral home. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
