Katherine "Kay" De Decker

May 19, 1919 — March 23, 2014

Katherine De Decker, 94, Green Bay, died peacefully, Sunday, March 23, 2014, at a local hospital. Born in Pensaukee, WI, May 19, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Marie (Zeugner) Raaths. Kay married Wilbur “Bill” De Decker on September 9, 1943 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2012. She loved going camping in her pop up camper and the couple made their way across the country visiting different camp sites. Kay enjoyed square dancing, bird watching, and doing puzzles. Her family meant the world to her.

Kay is survived by her niece and nephews, Peter (Karen) Kornowski of Green Bay, Kathy (Mike) Nero of Suamico, and Chuck (Kelly) Kornowski of Luxemburg; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Jimmy and Kenny; and sisters, Carol (Richard) Kornowski and Norine Raaths.

Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Peter, Joanne, Jean, Grancare Nursing Home for all of the compassionate care given to Kay.
