    Julie Bors

    February 3, 1953 - April 7, 2022

    Julie (Froelich) Bors, 69, Green Bay, passed away April 7, 2022. Born on February 3, 1953, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Goffard) Froelich. She was a graduate of St Joseph Academy in Green Bay.  Julie was employed at KI for over 40 years. Julie considered KI friends to be family, sharing in each other's lives and faith.  She married Michael Bors on September 12, 2015, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Together, Julie and Mike enjoyed picnics, hikes and bicycling with friends.   Julie and Mike volunteered to help the church’s work for others through Special Olympics, teaching catechism, assisting at picnics, serving Sunday coffee and rolls, making St. Vincent De Paul visits, supporting the Marriage Encounter, helping Cursillo and assisting St. John's Homeless Shelter.  Julie’s heart was filled with joy of sharing life with families and those in need, praying for others, playing piano, reading classics, camping and going on pilgrimages including the Walk to Mary at Our Lady of Good Help in Champion. Survived by her husband, Michael; siblings, Marilyn Rottel and Richard (deceased) Bergman ; Jenifer and David Purpi; Barbara and Jack Junio (Michael and Ann, Mark and Jill, and Paul Junio); Donna and Phil (deceased) Loritz (David (deceased) and Lisa Loritz, Steve and Mary Loritz, Cheryl and Dan Reith); Tom and Mary Froelich, (Chris and Jennifer, Jeff and Beth, Greg and Felicia Froelich, Jessica and Brett Bordini); Joan and Bob Schmidt (Brian and Lisa Schmidt, Colleen and Don Bruening, Bruce and Andrea, Rick and Lisa Schmidt); John and Barbara Froelich (Peter and Susan, Jonna Froelich and John Billman, Anya and Jake Hoover, Michael and Betsy Froelich); Joe and Dianne Froelich (Melanie and Matt Lasee, Tony and Stephanie Froelich); Patrick Froelich (deceased) (Amy Hookstadt, Garrette Froelich, Julie Sinha, Megan Deleske, Kendra, and Brandon Froelich); Ann and David Bonham, (Spencer Hayes); Bill and Julie Froelich (Danielle Kerkoff, Aprille, Wayland, Ben, and Ellen Froelich); father and mother in law, Robert and Peg Bors; brothers and sisters in law, John and Susie Bors (Chris and Patty Bors ; Shaun and Jackie Philips); Paul and Kim Bors (Bryce and Kathryn Ackerman; Richard Bors; Robert and Kelsy Bors); Bill and Peg Bors (David and Michael (deceased)); Dan and Gloria Bors (Andrew, Kevin, and Jonathon); Dave and Diana Bors (Hannah Bors and Matt Marcou; Kyle Bors and Abigail Kloberdanz).   Further preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judith Mae Froelich; brother, Patrick Froelich; brother-in-law Doug Rottel; Mother-in-law, Eleanore Bors; Nephew, Michael Bors. Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St. Friday April 22, from 4 PM until 8 PM.  Parish Wake service at 7 pm in the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church 710 N. Baird St. from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Green Bay Oncology and St Vincent medical staff who provided compassionate support for Julie and Mike over the last year.   Thank you to the team of Unity Hospice for their compassionate care of Julie. Julie loves you all through her prayers and appreciates your prayers.  Julie wants each of us to accept the warm embrace of Jesus in Love and Praise!   Let’s pray for each other as she wishes.   She would ask you to consider a donation to Special Olympics, Relevant Radio or St John Homeless Shelter (Green Bay) if you are inclined to offer a gift to her family in her honor.
