Joseph M. Garsow “Marty” 64, Green Bay, passed away at home Monday, November 30, 2015, following a battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Born on October 4, 1951, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Lou (Sheehy) Garsow. Marty is a graduate of Premontre High School. He received his training as a cook at Curative Workshop. It was here that he met the love of his life, Debbie Pommier. He had worked for many years as a cook for Ponderosa and most recently was an avid volunteer for Manna for Life Ministries. Marty had a life-long passion for reading and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers.
Marty is survived by a son, Matt Garsow; his very dear friend, Debbie Pommier and her mother, Diane, all of Green Bay and the entire Pommier family; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James “Jim” Garsow of Albuquerque, NM and Paul and Tina Garsow of Goodman, WI; a nephew, Jacob Garsow; a niece, Mallory Garsow; and his feline companion, Tika.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Friday from 4pm until the time of the service. Memorial service 7pm Friday at the funeral home.
