Germaine M. Maccoux

August 19, 1929 — December 3, 2013

Germaine Maccoux, 84, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on December 3, 2013, with family by her side. Born on August 19, 1929, at her home in Rosiere, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Andre) DeVillers. On September 27, 1949, she married Sanford Maccoux. Germaine worked as a seamstress, a cook at the VFW Hall, H.C. Prange for 25 years, and Sunspots Custom Draperies for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, embroidery, and gambling trips. More than anything, she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her greatest hope in life was to meet her first great grandchild, which she did recently. Germaine was a loving and caring person who always wanted to do for others, and her thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.

Germaine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sanford; five children, Wayne (Kathleen) Maccoux, New Franken, Brian (Susan) Maccoux, Bruce (Becky) Maccoux, both of Green Bay, Neal (Julie) Maccoux, Hobart, and Amy (David) Dier, Green Bay; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and three step-great great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Veronica) DeVillers, Luxemburg; and two sisters-in-law, Verna Jauquet, and Doris DeVillers, both of Green Bay.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Marian; two brothers, Stanley and Norman; and her parents.
