Georgiana "Georgie" Nuthals

Georgiana “Georgie” W. Nuthals, Green Bay, formerly of West De Pere, found peace Saturday evening, May 16, 2015, following a long illness with her family at her side while at a local nursing home. Born May 17, 1926, in West De Pere, she is the daughter of the late Steve and Agnes (VerBruggen) Fink. Georgie married Wayne Nuthals on Sept. 26, 1946, at St. Boniface Church in West De Pere and the couple then resided in Green Bay. Wayne preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1976. After his passing, Georgie worked for a brief time at St. Vincent Hospital. She was a long-time member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish and taught CCD for a while. Georgie will be remembered for her enjoyment of sewing, gardening, painting and her appreciation for the great outdoors. She was a dedicated wife and mother, known for her kindness and love of animals. Also, Georgie always treasured her time spent with her precious grandchildren.

Georgie is survived by two children, Barbara (Dennis) Adams and Dennis (Kathleen) Nuthals; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Alvera Fink and Doreen (Howie) Roscoe; two brothers-in-law, Tom (Lois) Nuthals and Gordon Welsch; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 30 years, Wayne; one son, Patrick; one brother, Melvin Fink; two sisters, Lillian (Bob) Martin and Betty (Donald) Williquette; one sister-in-law, Muriel Welsch; and one brother-in-law, Floyd Nuthals.

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Tuesday, May 19th from 9am until the time of the funeral. Sharing of memories at 10am Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, 10:30am Tuesday, May 19th at Saints Peter and Paul Church, with Rev. Anthony V. Cirignani, OFM, officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.

Georgie’s family extends a special thank you to all the caring, dedicated doctors, nurses, aides and staff of Woodside Lutheran Home for their outstanding care.
