Frank Petasek, Jr. 81, Green Bay, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at home. Born in the Town of Eaton, December 11, 1933 he is the son of the late Frank and Bernice (Ostrenga) Petasek, Sr. Frank married the former Rosemary Gorzlancyk on September 2, 1961, at Saints Peter and Paul Church and she preceded him in death on September 20, 1992. He worked for the City of Green Bay for the Department of Public Works driving truck. Frank enjoyed gardening, the Brewers, Packers, and cooking. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church where he enjoyed making booyah for the parish picnics.
Frank is survived by 2 sons, Brian Petasek of Green Bay and Kevin (Marilee) Petasek of New Franken; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Petasek, Nicholas Petasek, Amber (Rory) VandenAvond, Kristi (Adam) Dorner, Zak Petasek, and Noah Petasek and great grandchildren; brother, Clarence “Shep” Petasek; sisters, Elsie (Tony) Gierczak, Ethel Helgerson, and Shirley Anderson; 3 sisters-in-law, Clara Petasek, Carol Petasek, and Clarice Petasek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Jake (Eleanor “Tiny”) Petasek, Robert Petasek, Leonard (Faye) Petasek, Peter Petasek, Sr., Richard (Delores) Petasek, David (Irene) Petasek, Alvin (Pat) Petasek and Norbert Petasek; sister, Ceil (Carl) Matzke; sister-in-law, Joyce Petasek.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM. Parish wake service 7:30 PM. Friday’s visitation will continue at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the procession across the street to Saints Peter and Paul for Mass at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
