Esther Elizabeth Carson

February 9, 1917 — May 1, 2016

Esther Elizabeth Carson, 99 of Green Bay, WI finalized her journey to the Lord on May 1, 2016. Esther entered the world as a 3-pound baby, her crib a shoebox. She was born in Nashville, IL on February 9, 1917 to Oliver and Louise (Petersen) Francis. She has almost a century of experiences and story sharing that includes the advancement from driving a horse and buggy, to a Model T and finally her Ford Taurus as well as cooking on a woodstove to eventually making scrumptious meals in the microwave. Esther’s many years of work and service at Brown County Hospital were very impactful on her life. Beyond her value of education and work, Esther constantly shared her many artistic talents that included cooking, painting, writing, upholstery and scrubby making.

Most important to her was her faith as a lifelong Presbyterian. She was a proud member of the Presbyterian Women and served as a Deaconess at Grace Presbyterian Church, Green Bay. With faith as her foundation, Esther has been an amazing example and inspiration.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Raymond Power Carson – we know that he has been waiting for his beautiful red head.

She is survived by her four children, Ruth Elmer, Gayle Baesler, Roger (Chris) Carson and Lois (Mike) Palecek; and grandchildren, Kathy (Norm) Ricker, Jeff (Cindy) Elmer, Mike (Mary) Elmer, Steven (Hai-wen) Elmer, Susan (Brad) Miller, Paul (Jane) Lambie, Mark (Mary) Lambie, Debbie Baesler, Neal (Debbie) Baesler, Tracy (Brian) Pfeiffer, Kelly (John) Williams, Laurie (Pat) Koller, Michael (Monica) Palecek, Susan Guthrie, Sarah (Alan) Hewitt, Stephen Palecek; also many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and good friend, Edith Zakrzewski.
