Ernest D. Block

Ernest D. Block, 74, Green Bay, joined his wife Lori, Thursday, June 7, 2013, after a brief stay at the Jack and Ingrid Meng Center. Born in Michigan, April 28, 1939, he is the son of the late Leland and Verina (Stilp) Block. Ernie served in the United States Air Force. He married the former Lori Moellendorf, September 9, 1972; she preceded him in death. Ernie served as a member of the Green Bay Baha'i Local Spiritual Assembly; an Assistant to Baha'i Auxiliary Board members; long time member of the Green Lake Baha'i Conference Planning Committee; and represented the Baha'i Faith on the Brown County Board of Clergy. He also served as the Exalted Ruler for the Elks Club. Ernie worked at Bellin Hospital, Schauer & Schummacher Funeral Home, and Malcore Funeral Homes & Crematory.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jamal and Lisa Block; 2 grandchildren, Aiden and Alex; and many friends and family.

Visitation at MALCORE (WEST) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Saturday (6/15) from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Procession to Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the visitation. Full Military Honors will take place at the cemetery.
