Emma M. Conard, 95, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on Monday, January 16, 2017, with family by her side. Born on July 25, 1921, in Brussels, she is the daughter of the late John and Rose (Jeanquart) Rass. On January 16, 1943, she married Walter Ronsman, and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1962. On August 3, 1965, she married Cletus Conard at SS. Peter and Paul Church. Emma owned and operated Ronsman’s Bar and Conard’s Bar for 35 years, until her retirement. She enjoyed baking bread, canning, fishing with Cletus, dancing the polka, and playing cards.
Emma is survived by five children, Linda (Craig) Galloway, Monica (Thomas) Michalec, both of Green Bay, Joan Jarstad (Pete Meeuwsen), Suamico, Jean (Jody) Brainard, Mulhall, OK, and Gary (Amanda) Conard, Krakow; one daughter-in-law, Karen Ronsman, Sobieski; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; two sons, Ronald and Randy Ronsman; six brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, “Corky” Jarstad; one daughter-in-law, Karen Ronsman Eckburg; and two infant grandchildren.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N Baird St., Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. Wake service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., with the Rev. Tony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
