Edith “Edie” Kozlik, 74, Green Bay, died peacefully, Sunday, February 9, 2014, at home. Born in Green Bay, November 6, 1939, she is the daughter of the late John and Irene (Lewins) Wettengel. Edie was a graduate of East High School. She married Alfred Kozlik on September 24, 1960, at Saints Peter and Paul Church and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2010. Edie worked at the Green Bay Parking Utility for 23 years. In their younger years Edie and Al enjoyed traveling together, boating, going to their “up north getaway”, church picnics, and drives in their ‘39. She was an avid reader, her favorite show was ‘Law and Order’, and she enjoyed the challenge of ‘Jeopardy.’ Her relationships with those she loved were most important to her.
Edie is survived by her three children, Judy (Gary) Clark of Green Bay, Dan (Mecho) Kozlik of Little Suamico, and Jane Kozlik of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Dan (Marcy), Zac and Lauren Clark, Hannah and Nicole Kozlik; one great grandchild on the way; brother and sisters, Nancy Long of Tallahassee, FL, Lois August of Green Bay, and Jim (Peg) Wettengel of Burlington; other relatives and friends.
Edie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, John and Carl Wettengel. Private services were held at Malcore (West) Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Eric, Lori, and Kurt for all their help that allowed Edie to stay in her home. Thank you to Traci and all the staff of Unity Hospice that cared for Edie with the utmost care and respect in her last days.
