Daniel B. Bierhals, 69, Green Bay, passed away, Friday morning, Dec. 30, 2016, at a Sturgeon Bay nursing home. Born May 2, 1947, he is the son of the late Godfrey “Fritz” and Irene (Wichman) Bierhals. Dan is a graduate of Pulaski High School, Class of ‘65. He faithfully served in the U.S. Army based in Germany. Dan attended UWGB pursuing his college degree while also working at Schreiber Cheese. Dan always had a wonderful voice and truly enjoyed singing in various choirs. He lived his life to the best of his ability.
Dan is survived by a grandson, Devon; two sisters, Shirley Brockiewicz, McCormick Home and Carol (Wayne) Kopke, Abrams; sister-in-law, Eileen Bierhals, Gillette; brother-in-law, “Buddy” Wolske; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jason Bierhals; sisters, Ruth (Joe) Werner and Marge Wolske; and brother, James Bierhals.
A private family service will be held at a future date with Malcore (West) Funeral Home serving the family.
A special thank you to the Salvation Army for being a wonderful support system to Dan; Sheila with the Brown County Adult Protective Service for her advocacy; and the staff of Golden Living/Dorchester for all their care.
