Coach Richard “Dick” Moseley, 82, Green Bay and Ft. Myers, FL, died peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at home. Born in Detroit, MI August 1, 1933, he is the son of the late Thomas Benton and Katherine (Jones) Moseley. Dick was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and acquired his Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan. He played professional baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers organization for 2 years. Dick coached high school, college, and professional football, including the Green Bay Packers. He cherished the opportunity to mentor the young men that he coached.
Coaching was his passion and gift, and he pursued it for 61 years, up until the day he passed. The young men that he guided carried the life lessons that he taught onto the football field as well as off. Everyone who met him felt encouraged and valuable and included in his huge, vibrant world. He will be dearly missed.
Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy Ysebaert Moseley of Ft. Myers, FL; children, Mike (Lynn) Moseley of Minneapolis, MN, and Thomas (Ann Marie) Moseley of Highlands Ranch, CO; stepdaughter, Jenny (Bob) Gagan of De Pere; stepson, Tom (Michelle) Ysebaert of Green Bay; grandchildren: Matt (Julia), Micah, Sam, Evan, A.J., Audrey, Danny, Sammy and Maggie; brother, Bob (Barbara) Moseley of Ann Arbor, MI; further survived by many relatives and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dianne Moseley.
Visitation will take place at St. Elizabeth Seton, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Green Bay, WI, Saturday, September 12th, from 11:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 (noon) with the Rev. Paul E. Demuth officiating. Malcore (West) Funeral Home is assisting the family.
