Charles S. Ritz, 78, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on July 13, 2015. Born on July 12, 1937, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Ann (Malliet) and Charles Ritz. On January 4, 1969, he married the former Jean Krueger at St. Boniface Church. Chuck is a 1955 graduate of Green Bay East High School. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Chuck owned “Just Chuck’s” and “The Ritz Lounge,” prior to owning and operating Ritz Sales Co., until his retirement in 2011. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Chuck loved to read, and was especially proud of getting a hole-in-one at Brown County Golf Course years ago. He also enjoyed going to McDonalds each morning to have coffee with his friends.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Jean; one son, Kurt (Kathy) Ritz, Austin, TX; one daughter, Michele (Jeremy) Harnish, San Juan Capistrano, CA; eight grandchildren, Riley, Charles, Miles, Jeremya, Abigail, Joshua, Jason, and Tori; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Julie) Krueger, Jerry Krueger, and Tom Corcoran; very special aunt, Ellen, and her children; four nieces and one nephew close to his heart; and his cousins, aunts, and special friends, Rick, Joyce, Bill, Adrian, and Carrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Corcoran; and numerous extended family members.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason St., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday at the funeral home with George Glen officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who took special care of him at Bayshore Nursing Home. Their love and compassion for Chuck and Jean were truly a blessing.
