Cecelia M. Howe, 78, Green Bay, died peacefully on September 13, 2014, with family by her side. Born on July 27, 1936, in Walhain, she is the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Vandervest) Borlee. Cecelia is a graduate of Green Bay East High School. She attained her Bachelors degree in education from UW-Stevens Point, and a Masters degree in computer science from Lakeland College. Cecelia was a teacher for over 30 years, primarily at Ft. Howard Elementary School and Franklin Middle School as an English teacher. One of her brightest accomplishments was the publication of her book, A Young Look at Old Green Bay. Cecelia enjoyed gardening, painting, and bird watching.
She is survived by two children, Rob (Maggie) Howe, Sheboygan, and Jennifer (Kelly) Ray, Green Bay; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joe, Bob (Mary), and Bernie (Joanie); two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna (Murray), and Gina (Ron); and two sisters-in-law, Arletta and Cathy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dick, Fred, and her infant brother, Joe; and two sisters, Valeria, and Barb.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
