Cathy (Besaw) (Wilmet) Baylie

Cathy M. (Besaw) (Wilmet) Baylie, 76, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local hospital on January 10, 2017. Born on July 20, 1940, in De Pere, she is the daughter of the late Alvin and Magdalene Wilmet. On July 13, 1957, she married Robert Besaw at St. Boniface Church in De Pere, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2004. On May 10, 2008, she married Richard Baylie. Cathy worked various part-time jobs including H.C. Prange, Flowerama, and Biebels. She was most proud of the seven children that she raised. Cathy was also a passionate Packers fan. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, playing Bingo, and going to the family cottage in Crivitz.

Cathy is survived by six children and their spouses, Barbara (Al) Enderby, Sobieski, Thomas Besaw, Green Bay, Tim (Peggy) Besaw, Green Bay, Shirley Christensen, Mesquite, TX, Mike (Becky) Besaw, Wausau, and Scott Besaw, Green Bay; 14 grandchildren, Adam, Janell, Marcus, Travis, Amy, Tara, Evan, Amanda, Danny, Beth, Justin, Dan, Courtney, and Erik; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack (Marlene) Wilmet, and Dick Wilmet; two sisters, Mary (Dave) Knoll, and Joan Krueser; one son-in-law, George Johnson; one brother-in-law, Maynard VanEss; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wilmet, Rosie DeKeyser, and Bernice Besaw; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Johnson; one brother, Bob Wilmet; one sister, Shirley Wilmet; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Nellie Besaw; six brothers-in-law, Bill Krueser, Jerry (Carol) Besaw, Gordy (AnnaMae) Besaw, Dick (Betty) Besaw Frank Besaw, and Jerry DeKeyser; and two sisters-in-law, Pat VanEss and Marge (Hank) Horkman.

Visitation in the Fr. Ken Hall at St. Willebrord Parish, 209 S. Adams Street, Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with the Rev. Andy Cribben, OFM officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
