Carol Line Haskin, 92, Green Bay, WI, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 1, 2022. She was born on August 3, 1929, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Alvan and Evelyn (Griffith) Line. She attended grade school and high school in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota where she was chosen the Engineering Day Queen, a spring celebration at the university. She was a lifelong member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Carol married David Bruce Haskin on September 17, 1949, at Christ Episcopal Church in St Paul, MN. They raised their three children with much love while living in St. Paul, MN, Madison, WI and De Pere, WI. Carol was an active member in P.E.O. Chapter N, Green Bay Symphony Guild, Monday Shakespeare Club, Learning in Retirement, and bridge groups. She was a talented “occasional” artist working with oils and pencil. Carol was deeply passionate about literature, music and art. She was a devoted mother and adored her children and grandchildren. She had the most remarkable gift to make each child feel as if they were her favorite. And they were right. She will be deeply missed by each of them. Carol was preceded in death by her husband David Bruce; son Bruce Griffith Haskin; parents Alvan and Evelyn Line; brother Gerald G. Line; in-laws Floyd and Ella Haskin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many cherished friends. Carol is survived by her two daughters, Kate Haskin Meeuwsen and Caroline Haskin; son-in-law Mike Meeuwsen; daughter-in law Anne Haskin; six grandchildren, Andrew Haskin, David (April) Haskin, Emily (Jason) Johnson, Gretchen (Steve) Christensen, Elizabeth (Nate) Zyduck, Ellen Meeuwsen; great grandchildren, Evelyn and Max Haskin, Sam and Emily Haskin, Maggie Bea, Charlie and Katie Johnson, Henry and Nolan Christensen, Beau and Vivian Zyduck. In accordance with Carol’s wishes, private family services will be held on a summer day. MALCORE (East) Funeral Home & Crematory, Green Bay, WI, is assisting the family 920 432 5579. The family is especially grateful to all of the wonderful care givers at Unity Hospice and Brookview Meadows Assisted Living, Howard. Their care made all the difference.
