Carol “Jean” Buell, 64, Suamico, went home to her heavenly Father, early Monday morning, Sept. 22, 2014, while at home surrounded by family. Born January 19, 1950, in Algoma, she is the daughter of the late Burt and Violet (Wallace) Varga. Jean is a graduate of Algoma High School, Class of ’68. She married Wayne “Griz” Buell on June 21, 1969, at First United Methodist Church, Green Bay. The couple owned and operated The Snorkel/57 Club for three years. Jean was later employed with Green Bay Plastics, Alwin Manufacturing, Schneider Logistics, and BBA Non-Wovens/Fiberweb from which she retired due to her illness. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of touring on the Harley and spending time landscaping at home. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and her canine children, Reeka, Maggie, Magic and Bingo.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Wayne; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Dane “Bruno” Bruening and Kim and Chris Wellner; five grandchildren, Derrek and Marissa “Rissa” Bruening and Crystal, Tyler, and Kaile Wellner; special “daughters”, Abby Benschawel and Barb Grib; four sisters, Mary Bauer, Linda (Bob) Adlebush, Kathy (Dan “Heimer”) Nessinger, and Betty (Mark) Reimer; six brothers, Dave (Nancy), Steve, Al, Harold (Debbie), Walt, and Gary (Louise) Varga; one brother-in-law, Randy (Carrie) Buell; special “sister”, Geri Roberts; BFF, Sandy Schulze; goddaughter, Karli Reimer; special aunt, Nancy B. Wyatt; cousin, Chris Buell; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Violet Varga; father and mother-in-law, Clem and Dorothy Buell; one sister-in-law, Nancy Jo Buell; uncle, Dan Burt; very special great-nephew, Zander; and one niece, Stacey.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Friday, Sept. 26, from 4pm until the time of the service. Funeral service, 7pm Friday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
Jean was a very strong-willed, courageous individual who had a strong faith in her Lord; her strength will remain an inspiration to all who knew her-Always Believe!
