Carol R. (Lardinois) Bertrand, 71, New Franken, passed away at home January 2, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 13, 1944, at home, she is the daughter of the late Orville and Laura. She worked at AC Nielsen for over 35 years. Carol was a long time member at St. Joseph’s Church in Champion. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, watching classic movies, playing cards, and spending time with her granddaughters.
Carol is survived by two children, Amy (Jim Sammer) Dart, Omro, and Adam (Angela) Bertrand, New Franken; four granddaughters, Laura and Whitney Dart, and Delaney and Gillian Bertrand; siblings, Marv (Ginny) Lardinois, Eleanor (Kenny) Kassner, Jan (Kenny) Sampo, Orv (Judy) Lardinois, and Barb Lardinois; brother-in-law, Gary Davister; god-daughter, Holly Walton and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosemarie Davister; brother, Jim Lardinois; and the father of her children, Norm Bertrand.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home Tuesday, January 5, from 4 PM until 8 PM. Parish wake service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church in Champion, 5996 County Rd K, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Champion.
