Betty Jane Jossart

December 9, 1935 — June 18, 2021

Betty J. Jossart, 85 of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Caraton Commons-Ledgeview. She was born on December 9, 1935 in Humboldt, WI to the late Elmer and Mary (Radart) Van Den Plas. Betty was united in marriage to Raphael J. Jossart on May 29, 1954 at St. Mary’s Church in Humboldt, WI.

Betty attended and graduated from Luxemburg High School. After graduation, she worked for many years in sales at H.C. Pranges. She volunteered for 20 plus years at St. Vincent de Paul.

Through the years, Betty enjoyed many hobbies and activities. She loved camping, boating, collecting dolls, Teddy bears and crafts, and playing cards with her kids and grandchildren.

Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her children, Sharon (John) Genis of Hamlet, IN, Rhonda Miller of Green Bay, Dennis (Nan) Jossart of Greenleaf, WI and Doreen (Fred III) Dorn of Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Chad (Jamie) Matuszewski of Ashwaubenon, Matthew (Miranda) Matuszeski of Ashbaubenon, Kimberly (Eli) Mills, Adam and Zachory Genis of North Judson, IN, Cassandra (Nicholas) Holstead of Grafton, WI, Danielle (John) Breber of California, Michael Babcock of Green Bay, Kenny Babcock of Green Bay and Fred Dorn IV of Portage, MI; eight great grandchildren; sister, Regina Matheys; brothers and sisters in law, Gerald (Judy) Jossart of Green Bay, Cecilia Jossart of New Franken and Collette Jossart of DePere; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raphael; sisters, Shirley (Gerald) Huempfner and Linda Tohak and brother, Wayne Van Den Plas; and brothers and sister in law, Norman and Joseph Jossart, Carol and David Malcore and Hank Matheys.

A funeral service will be held for Betty at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Nicolet Memorial Park (2770 Bay Settlement Rd). Pastor Linda Hogenson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Malcore Funeral Homes-East from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. There will be a short prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at the cemetery chapel from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers please make donations payable to the Alzheimer’s Research Association in Betty’s name.

The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the staff of Caraton Commons and Heartland Hospice for all the love and care that had been given to Betty during her stay.
