    Ben Heiman

    February 3, 1947 - October 9, 2021

Ben Heiman, 74, Green Bay passed away Saturday afternoon, October 9, 2021, while at home. Born February 3, 1947, in Texas, he is the son of the late Bennie and Ruby Heiman. Ben followed his older brother, John, to Green Bay when John received a transfer to Green Bay through the railroad company with which he was employed. Once here, Ben met Mike Nowaczyk, and together they owned and operated the Copper Kettle and the Algonquin restaurants. They also owned H & N Sales and Appraisals and Ben later managed the security checkpoint at the Green Bay Airport until 9/11. Ben is survived by his long time partner, Mike Nowacyzk; one brother, John Heiman; further survived by many close friends and former business acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Nancy Heiman. Friends and family may gather at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4-6pm. Ben will be entombed in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
