Alvina H. Jauquet

Alvina “Vi” H. Jauquet, 98, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local CBRF on April 1, 2016. Born on February 3, 1918, in Greenleaf, she is the daughter of the late George and Wilhelmina (Vanden Huevel) Baeten. Vi is a 1936 graduate of Wrightstown High School. On July 19, 1941, she married Donald Joseph Jauquet in Wrightstown, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1984. Vi enjoyed the camaraderie working as a waitress/cashier at Kroll’s West for over 30 years. She was an active bowler and golfer, and she was proud of her yard and garden.

Vi is survived by six children, Nancy Jauquet, Hudson, FL, Janice Jauquet, Elk Grove, IL, Carol (Rebecca) Jauquet, Corvallis, OR, Richard “Dick” Jauquet, and Elizabeth “Betty” Riggle, both of Green Bay, and Peter Jauquet, West Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, Michael (Sylvia) Jauquet, Alicia Hardesty, Darrin (Terry) Samson, Shawn (Patty) Samson, Melissa (Juan DeCastro) Samson, Shane (Michelle) Samson, Dean (Robin) Samson, Erin Riggle and Robert Riggle; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; one sister, Rita Willems, Sister Bay; three in-laws, Ella Baeten, Betty Baeten, and Hub Gerend.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, James Jauquet; siblings, Norbert (Opal) Baeten, Robert Baeten, Harold Baeten, Milly (Charles) Bickel, Helen (Paul Casey, Frank Thiessen), Marge Gerend, Cyrilla "Sis" (Deuce) Weyenberg, and Adeline "Toddy" (Leroy) Peters, and Eunice (Alious) Peters; son-in-law, Max Riggle; and brother-in-law, Earl Willems

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the procession to church. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani OFM officiating. Burial at Ft. Howard Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Bornemann CBRF and Unity Hospice for their compassionate care. They would like to thank Lois Bader for bringing her communion weekly and being a devoted friend, and Melissa and Juan for years of love, caring, and constant companionship.
