William “Bill” Clark, 66, Green Bay, found peace on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at an Appleton hospital after fighting the good fight with colon cancer. Born February 28, 1947, in Munising, MI, he is the son of the late William C.J. and Nola “Ev” (Clark) Clark. Bill faithfully served in the U.S. Army from December of 1966 to December of 1967 where he received the National Defense Service Medal, qualified as a sharp shooter and served as a personal clerk. After returning from the service, Bill would regularly ride the Greyhound to Green Bay. It was on one of these trips that he met Judi Renard. After returning from a hitchhiking trip to California, he tracked Judi down once again and they eventually married on September 21, 1984. Bill owned and operated Transcript (Resume’ Plus). He will be remembered for his love of words, both in reading books and typing his many thought in prose and poetry.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judi; three siblings, Cheryl of Utah; and twins James of Colorado and Janice of Texas; one brother-in-law, Rev. James Renard; many nieces and nephews, especially Tara “Nickels” Renard and her son, Tyren Wetzel of Portage and Justin “Buda” (Trisha) Renard and their children, Kayla, Kendall, Calvin and Callalily of Cottage Grove; and many good and loyal friends which he made along the path of life.
Preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Fern Renard; brother-in-law, Jules (Monta) Renard.
Visitation at MALCORE (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 4-8pm with a time of shared memories at 7pm. Visitation continues Friday, May 10, 2013, from 10am until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 12 noon Friday, May 10, 2013, at the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Nooker officiating.. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors.
