Wendy C. Smith, age 43, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 24, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born at the same hospital on April 26, 1972 to Dennis Smith and Elizabeth Hopkins. Wendy graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1991, and was a graduate of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She most recently worked at Hatco in Sturgeon Bay.
Wendy loved camping, the outdoors, and most of all her family, friends and her beloved miniature dachshund, Foxy. Some called her “Breezy” and was known for her personal strength, kindness and loving way.
She is survived her father, Dennis Smith; mother, Elizabeth Hopkins; step-mother, Diane Smith; stepsisters Colleen Anderson, Jodi Ross and Cindi Thorstensen; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Bay View Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay on Wednesday March 30th. The family will greet friends at church starting at 11am and the service will begin at 12pm. There will be lunch following the service.
