Thomas Johnson

Thomas Johnson, 91, Green Bay, passed away into the loving arms of the Lord, Friday, December 6, 2013, surrounded by his family. Born on June 1, 1922, he is the son of the late Cecilia Schalow. Tom served in the United States Army during WWII achieving numerous awards with the highest being the Bronze Star. After being discharged from the military he re-enlisted in the Wisconsin Air National Guard until his retirement in 1983. He married the love of his life Dorothy June (Stacey) in 1946 in Stoughton, WI. After retirement Dorothy and Tom traveled the United States before settling in Northern WI in the summer months and Central Florida in the winter months. He was very devoted to his faith. Tom was also devoted to his family and enjoyed many many special times with them all, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren in later years. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time on the computer, designing cards, Facebook, games, and writing stories on his own blog.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June; three devoted children, Thomas (Joan) Johnson, Gerald (Amy) Johnson, and Stacia (Tod) Severson; special family member, Christine Johnson; seven grandchildren, Stacy, Rebecca (Tim), Caryn (Dale), Erik (Aimee), Mark, Luke (Sarah), and Leah (Peter); six great grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Wyatt, Hunter, Henry, and Eli Thomas; one sister, Jeanne (Marvin) Steele; special friend and neighbors, Joanne, Brian, and Greg.

Private Services will be held at a later date. Malcore (West) Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Tom always kept everyone in his prayers every night and he will now be in our prayers every night as well and in our hearts and memories forever.
