Steven Vorpahl

October 9, 1952 — March 28, 2014

Steven Vorpahl, 61, Green Bay, died unexpectedly, Friday, March 28, 2014 at home. Born in Green Bay, October 9, 1952, he is the son of Sherry (Wilber) and the late Donald “Eddy” Vorpahl. Steve practiced Tae Kwon Do at Choe’s Black Belt Academy, was a Kick Boxer, Stick Fighter, and was also a Golden Gloves Fighter. He moved to California where he continued to further his craft under Bruce Lee’s protégé, Dan Inosanto. Steve never backed away from a challenge. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers, was extremely health conscious, loved bicycling, and motorcycles. Steve was a true “Northsider” and stood firm for everything he believed in. Steve visited the Crazy Horse Monument in the Black Hills, South Dakota, twice during his life. Once early in the carving process and again a few years back. It was forever etched in his memory.

He is survived by his mother, Sherry; 5 siblings, Roxann (Jeff) Wyman, Rusty Vorpahl all of Green Bay, Lynn (Robert “Beako”) DeGrave of Lena, Kim Vorpahl of Green Bay, and Berke Junion of Wrightstown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father and 3 brothers, Lee, David and Kevin; and grandparents.
