Sandy Lee Bridy

June 21, 1934 — April 12, 2018

Sandy Lee Bridy, age 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Green Bay, WI to the late Harold and Margaret (Frisque) Nelson. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1953. Following high school, she moved to Chicago to attend beauty school. She worked as a hair stylist for Elizabeth Arden for a few years. She married Ronald Bridy and they were married for 27 years. They had two children together, Donald and Lynn. She enjoyed knitting hats for premature babies and donated them to local hospitals. Sandy retired from St. Norbert College after working in the dietary department.

Sandy is survived by her two children: Donald (Kim Allen) Bridy of Harrisburg, PA and Lynn (Scott) Dietrich of Valdese, North Carolina; two siblings: Judi (Bernard) Querio of Iron Mountain, MI and Richard Nelson of De Pere, WI; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St, Green Bay, on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Sandy will be laid to rest at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Options for Independent Living.
