Rosemary Berceau, 84, entered eternal life on April 28, 2013, with family members at her side, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born August 3, 1928, in Kaukauna, she is the daughter of the late William and Therese (Hein) Brux. After moving to Green Bay, Rosemary met and married Roman P. Berceau, Jr. Together the couple raised 6 beautiful children. Romy preceded her in death in 2007 after 57 years of marriage. In her final years, she resided in Waukesha, WI, where she was cared for, and closer to family.
Rosemary is remembered as a wonderful mother and loving wife. As a child of the Depression, she made the most of everything. Her number one priority was always having a home-cooked meal and caring for her husband and family. Rosemary loved her garden; she worked in it every chance she got from dawn until dusk. When she could no longer safely stay at home, her children found a place for her with flower gardens and walkways. May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May song birds serenade you every step along the way. Godspeed mom, we will miss you.
Rosemary is survived by six beautiful children and 15 grandchildren, Terese Berceau; Steve and Marilyn Berceau and children: Brett, Kyle, Cory, Brianna and Brooke; Brian Berceau and children: Danielle (Jasper) Price and Joe; Stan and Fran Berceau and children: Ashley (Joel) Winger, Anna (Nick) Dietzen and Alex; Mary Beth and Larry Heuvelmans and children: Jacob and Christopher; Jane and Patrick Farrell and children: Morgan, Madeline and Conrad; great-grandmother to Luke Winger and Parker and Lane Dietzen. Further survived by sisters: Betty (Ken) VanDyke, Roberta Ranthum and Germaine Brockman; and a sister-in-law, Pat Brux.
Also preceded in death by siblings, Harlan, William “Bud” Jr. and Francis Brux, Julia Schiedermeyer and Ethel Luniak.
