Roland Alsteen, 84, Green Bay, passed away Friday December 6, 2013. Born on July 1st, 1929, in Dykesville, he is the son of the late John and Helen Alsteen. Roland married the former Laverne Deprey July 8, 1950, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. He worked at Procter and Gamble for over thirty years. Roland was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking, watching wrestling, and times spent at his cottage up at Half Moon Lake.
He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Laverne; two children, Diane (Francis) Elmer of Green Bay, Ronald (Cheryl) Alsteen of Ashwaubenon; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Sarah), Jason (Tia), Kristie (Steve) , Susan, Laura (Brandon), and Tracy; nine great grandchildren, Jonah, Lincoln, Cody, Imoen, Aiden, Emilly, Sydney, Ryleigh, and Bentley; beloved cat, Mitsy; many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives;
Roland was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harry (Gladys), Donald (Florence), and Clifford (Bernice) Alsteen.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, Sunday, December, 8th, from 4 PM until the time of the wake service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Monday at the funeral home from 11 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1 PM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
