Robert E. Peot, 90, Green Bay, died peacefully, February 26, 2014 at home of natural causes. Born on November 11, 1923, in Forestville, WI, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Mack) Peot. Robert was a graduate of Algoma High School and entered the United States Navy in 1943. He served in the South Pacific during WWII as a ship fitter first class through January 1946. Robert married the former Carol Bouche on March 4, 1944, in San Diego, CA. He was a member of the VFW Post 9677 and also a member of the Holy Name Society at Prince of Peace Church. Robert was employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company as a Combination Repair Man from 1947 through 1982. He enjoyed the times spent with his wife Carol at their cottage in Maiden Lake and the twenty-one years of wintering in Texas. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, and loved spending time with friends and family.
He was survived by seven children, Mark Peot of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary (Al) Piper of Green Bay, Marge (Bernie) Le Greve of Green Bay, Cathy (David) Hoppe of De Pere, Paul (Donna) Peot of New Berlin, Robert (Carla) Peot of De Pere, and Ron (Cindy) Peot of Sun Prairie; Eighteen grandchildren, Gary (Pierette) Peot, Curtis (Vicki) Peot, Tina (George) Schmutz, Tim (Julie) Peot, Tom (Stephanie) Peot, Clint (Renee) Piper, Tanya Piper, David (Gini) Le Greve, Michelle (Greg Jr.) Ponozzo, Jeff (Nichole) Hoppe, Marc Hoppe, Stephen (Jenny) Hoppe, Ryan (Amy) Peot, Maria Peot, Rebecca Peot, Rachel (Dave) Fish, Josh Peot, and Kaitlyn Peot; twenty seven great grandchildren, Cassandra, Stephen, Alex, Cody, Matthew, Shannon, Danielle, Tyler, Izzie, Ben, Emily, Jack, Beth, Nathan, Greggie, Orianna, Hannah, Tyler, Logan (B), Logan (G), Leia, Nick, Matthew, Hailey, Emily, Macen, and Kaylee; one great great grandchild, Fay; five nieces and nephews, Renee, Mari, Lea, Joy, and Chris.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mike Peot; mother and father-in-law, Orbie and Helen Bouche; sister, Betty Peot; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Jan Peot; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Duane “Duke” Valcq and one nephew, Michael Valcq.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home University Ave at Baird St. Sunday, March 2, from 4 PM until 8 PM. Parish Wake service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday morning at Prince of Peace Church, 3425 Willow Rd, from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
