Robert J. Duca, 67, Green Bay, died on November 23, 2014, after a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Born on February 7, 1947, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Gilbert and Sylvia Duca. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Green Bay East High School, where he excelled at football. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1967-1968, where he received the Purple Heart for his brave service. Bob was employed at SuperValu in the warehouse for over 37 years, until his retirement. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports, especially the Packers and Badgers.
Bob is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Jamie) Duca, Green Bay; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John G. Duca, Palmdale, CA, and Donald (Sue) Duca, Townsend; two sisters, Jan Withbroe, and Judy Duca, both of Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Kali, John, Sam, Jenna, Emma, Sara, Josh, Ava, and Chloe Savona; two step-grandchildren, Tyler and Timothy Jesse; six nieces and nephews, John (Barb) Duca, Deb (Mark) Harwick, Patty (Randy) Buth, Steven (Lisa) Duca, Cathy (Richard) Mortlock, and Greg (Melissa) Withbroe; great nieces and nephews; and his special friend Kathy Fitzgerald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sue Savona; two sisters-in-law, Betty Duca, and Carolyn Duca; and two nephews, Jim Duca and David Duca.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Nooker officiating. Entombment at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
