Richard "Shod" Schadrie

March 19, 1936 — September 18, 2013

Richard Joseph “Shod” Schadrie, 77, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local assisted living center on September 18, 2013, surrounded by family. Born on March 19, 1936, in De Pere, he is the son of the late Dorothy L. (Schadrie) Miller, and stepson to George Miller. On February 7, 1959, he married the former Patricia Wilcox at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere, and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2010. Richard worked for Renard Machine Company for over 30 years as a welder, until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed spending time up north with family at his cabin in Dunbar, hunting, and bowling. Richard also enjoyed listening to country music.

He is survived by five children, Michael (Karen) Schadrie, Green Bay, William “Willy” (Lori) Schadrie, Oconto Falls, Christine Allen, Madison, Richard James Schadrie (special friend, Sandy), Green Bay, and Susan (Kevin) Waelchli, Hobart; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Jesse, Nicole, David, Corey, Wesley, Alicia, Haiden, and Ava; one great grandchild, Ocean Johnson; one sister-in-law, Kathleen (Bruce) Biersteker, Green Bay; and many nieces, nephews, and cousin; and his special extended family, the Dantoin family.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Matthew Schadrie; one grandson, Robert Schadrie; mother and stepfather; and his grandparents, Matthew and Antoinette “Nettie” Schadrie.

Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Tom Mahoney officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
