Reginald "Reggie" Alberts

September 7, 1931 — May 7, 2015

Reginald “Reggie” Alberts, 83, Green Bay, found peace Thursday, May 7, 2015, at a local nursing home. Born Sept. 7, 1931, in the Town of Preble, he is the son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (Stroobants) Alberts. Reggie was a professional truck driver with Red Owl Food Stores for many years, retiring in 1989. He proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Abrams. Reggie lived in Florida for a number of years before returning to Wisconsin. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, karaoke, line dancing, carpentry, and built a number of his homes. Reggie also loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Reggie is survived by one daughter, Peggy (Tim) Dorn, Abrams; seven sons, Brent (Jean), Chris (Pam), all of Oconto Falls, Scott (June) of Seymour, Craig and Corey (Chris) all of Green Bay, Tim (fiancee’ Kim) of Abrams, and Jonas (fiancee’ Dawn) of Sobieski; 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Regina (Don) Cleven of De Pere and Joanne (Bob) Ward of Green Bay; three brothers, Walter (Bonnie) of Florida, Jude (Pam) of Glidden, and Virgil (“Bitsy”) of Green Bay; many nieces and nephews; and three former spouses, Sue, Nancy and Sharon.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Erma (Dugan) Alberts; one son, Preston; one step-daughter, Lori Jensen; two sisters, Edna (Milton) Devroy and Joan (Clayton) Pigeon; and two brothers, Cletus (Dorothy) and infant brother, David.

Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Monday from 4-8 pm. Parish Wake service 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Visitation continues Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 9am until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Tuesday at Saints Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Anthony V. Cirignani, OFM officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
