Norman Vandertie, 91, Green Bay, passed away January 22, 2015. Born on May 17, 1923, he is the son of the late Michael and Cecelia Vandertie. He married the former Lucille Guelette on February 19, 1941, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Misiere. Norman worked as a dairy farmer with his wife Lucille for over twenty years. He also worked at the shipyard in Sturgeon Bay. Norman then worked at Procter and Gamble for over thirty years before retiring in 1988.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Lucille; three children and their spouses, Wendell (Fern) Vandertie of Sturgeon Bay, Wendy (Wayne) Bouchonville of Green Bay, Michelle (Ron) Johnson of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Evenson, Kristina Vandertie, Mark Vandertie, Scott Bouchonville, Brent Bouchonville and special friend Megan, Jeremy (Michelle) Johnson, and Jason Johnson; three great grandchildren, Kayla and Mariah Vandertie, Brittney (Tyler) DeMarb; two step great grandchildren, Sammy and Kristen Brobst; one sister, Lorraine Delfosse; two sisters-in-law, Emily Vandertie, and Lucille Vandertie.
Norman was preceded in death two sisters, Ella (Reinhard) Mueller, Catherine (Irvine) Deprez; four brothers, Clifford (Anna), Wallace, Walter, and Earl Vandertie.
Visitation at Malcore East Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St, Sunday, January 25, from 3 PM until 8 PM. Parish Wake service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday at St Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
