Muriel Marie Liebmann

April 27, 1923 — November 18, 2013

Muriel Marie Liebmann, 90, Allouez, died Monday, November 18, 2013, at home. Born in Green Bay, April 27, 1923, she is the daughter of the late Jack and Laura (Larscheid) Wagner. Upon graduation from Green Bay East High School in 1941, Muriel worked at Green Bay Welding for a year to save money for college. In the fall of 1942, she attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. Muriel was proud to have been a nurse’s aide while Don was serving in the U.S. Navy overseas during WWII. On March 2, 1946, she married Donald F. Liebmann at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay, WI. Muriel and Don moved to Appleton, WI where all 12 of their children were born. She worked tirelessly as a loving homemaker, mother and wife. In 1973, the family followed Don’s work to St Augusta, MN. In 1979, Don, Muriel and the two youngest children moved to Mountain, WI where they enjoyed the first 20 years of their retirement. Then in 1999, they moved to Allouez, WI; full circle, back to the Green Bay area. Muriel was an active member of St. Therese & St. Thomas Moore Parish in Appleton, WI, St. Mary’s Help of Christians in St. Augusta, MN, St. Michael's Parish in Suring, WI, and is a current member of Resurrection Parish in Allouez. She will be remembered by many as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother; whether it was her family, or the many others she knew, she touched the lives of so many.

She is survived by eleven children and their spouses, David and Bonnie of Stoughton, WI, Larry of Stoughton, WI, Joe of Mountain, WI, Laura and Jim Isom of Salem, OR, Nancy and Robin Royster of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Karl and Ann of Wausau, WI, Amy and Bob Slaney of Powder Springs, GA, Eric and Venice of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Margie and Bruce Schwartzbauer of Stillwater, MN, Sara and Sam McMahon of Pulaski, WI and Patrick and Kelly of Freedom, WI; 19 grandchildren, Lisa and Todd Kelly of Neenah, WI, Katie Liebmann, Julia Kroll both of Stoughton, WI, Donald and Brooke Liebmann of Neenah, WI, Jeremiah and Becky Isom of Aumsville, OR, Jennifer Isom, Carolynn and Jeriah Simonds all of Salem, OR, Angela Royster of Seattle, WA, Nathan Royster of Milwaukee, WI, Jesse and Jennifer Liebmann, Josh and Brandi Liebmann, and Briana and Andy Holloway all of Phoenix, AZ; Ellyn Schwartzbauer, Kurt Schwartzbauer both of Stillwater, MN, Lucas McMahon of Clintonville, WI, Beth McMahon of Milwaukee, WI, Brian McMahon of Pulaski, WI, Ben Liebmann, and Lily Liebmann both of Freedom, WI; 3 step grandchildren, Lee Robert and Alicia Wentela of Owings, MD, Tom Wentela of Stoughton, WI, and Bill and Megan Wentela of Warren, MI; 12 great grandchildren, Erica and Greg Suchyta of Lansing, MI, Marisa Soufal of Madison, WI, Daniella Simonds of Salem, OR, Raven Liebmann of Texas, Taylon, Silver, Trinity, and Ariya Liebmann, Krynn, Cassie, Caleb, and Nathan Holloway all of Phoenix, AZ; 7 step great grandchildren, Lexie, Brody Wentela of Owings, MD, David Lee, Hayley, Dylan, and Carley Wentela all of Stoughton, WI, and Sarah Wentela of Warren, MI; sister-in-law, Marie Liebmann of Dyckesville, WI, and brother-in-law, Dr. Donald Heyrman of Menominee Falls, WI.

Muriel was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald, who passed away December 25th, 2012. She waited so patiently with anticipation to join the love of her life in heaven. They are finally together again. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald, Jr.; her sister, Joyce (Quinn) Ryan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Catherine Heyrman, Herbert Liebmann, Jr. and Bernard & Monie Liebmann; and son-in-law, Ken Morris.

Visitation at Resurrection Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Monday from 5:30-7:30P.M. Parish wake service 7:30 P.M. at the church. Visitation continues Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church with the Most Rev. Robert F. Morneau officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is caring for the family.
