Mayme “Mae” Beatrice Monfils passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the age of 92. She was residing at the Oak Creek Assisted Living Home in Luxemburg. Mae was born July 15, 1922, in Red River, her parents being John and Julia (Prail) De Jardin. She married Elmer Monfils on August 27, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1980. Mae worked at Bellin Hospital and the Northland Hotel until her retirement. She was a member of the Peninsula Belgian American Club in Namur and the Fairland Community. Mae has lived a long life and given us all so many wonderful memories to cherish. She will be missed, but always in our hearts.
Mae is survived by two daughters, Diane Leck of Hatfield, PA and Sharon Beck of Algoma; son, Steven Leonhard of California; 8 grandchildren, Byran Monfils, Rebecca Thyrion, Kevin Van Den Plas, Denise Watkins, David Leck, Steven Leck, Nicole Beck, and J. Leonhard; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Monfils; son Kenneth Monfils; sister, Lorraine Boucher; and brother, Louie De Jardin.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Milton Seuss officiating. Burial at St. Louis Church Cemetery, Dyckesville.
