Mary (DuPont) Legois, 100, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in her sleep, January 10, 2014. Born on September 24, 1913, in Champion, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Vandervest) DuPont. She married Wilbert Legois on September 6,1932, at the chapel in Robinsonville and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1974. Mary was an excellent seamstress employed at Green Bay Clothing, Manger Caskets, and Kitslaars Interior Design. She loved making quilts and clothing for her children and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed crocheting, cooking, refinishing furniture, and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Fern Kelley, Dale (“Sis”) Legois, and Charla (Wayne) Everard; daughter-in-law, Maureen Legois; seven grandchildren, Vickie (Doug) Seeman, Christine Kelley and fiancé Paul Gagan, Lynn (Chris) Goggins, Lori Legois and friend, Mike Watermolen, Lisa (Craig) Maricque, Steven (Karen) Legois, and David (Bridget) Legois; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Dee DuPont; many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert; son, Arnold; son-in-law, Donald Kelley; nine brothers and sisters, Julia, Myrtle, Agnes, Lillian, Josie, Alice, Henry, Goldie, and Wilbert.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St. Sunday, January 12, from 4 until 8 PM. Parish Wake service Sunday at 7: 30 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday morning January 13, at the funeral home until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
