Marjorie “Marge” Zimmerman, 84, Green Bay, formerly of Kewaunee, passed away on Friday evening, November 15, 2013, at San Luis Nursing Home, following a long illness. Born on June 8, 1929, in Clay Banks (Door County), she is the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Bader) Frisque. Marjorie grew up in the Little Sturgeon area, where she attended public schools. After high school she stayed on the family farm to help her parents. On April 18, 1956, she married Lloyd Zimmerman. While working at several Kewaunee area factories, the couple continued to farm. Over the years she developed a deep fondness and talent for gardening and growing flowers. Dancing was always an important part of the couple’s social life. After retirement, “Marge” and “Zimmy” shared an enjoyment for camping and fishing, while she developed a talent for her special crafts.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd; three sons and three daughters-in-law, John (Gloria Guilette) Granius, Little Suamico, Ricky (Jeanie) Zimmerman, Green Bay, and Paul (Linda) Zimmerman, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joseph, Louis, and Elvin; and two sisters, Marion and Catherine.
Private services were held at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 499-4100. Entombment took place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Two Rivers.
