Lance T. Catalano

Lance T. Catalano, 54, Green Bay, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at home. Born in Green Bay, March 9, 1960, he is the son of the former Gretchen Bemberg and the late Fred Catalano. Lance married the former Wendy Woods, in August of 1980 at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from NWTC with a Police Science Degree. Lance then went on to work for the Brown County Sheriffs Department his entire career. He enjoyed times spent in Canada working on his cabin and fishing there with his family and friends. Lance cherished his children and grandchildren in particular his times with them.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy: six children and their children, Christine Suski and her daughter, Abigail Suski of Ashwaubenon; Theresa and Paul LaCrosse and their children, Cassie Szatori, Allyssa and Mike Pelishek, and Matthew LaCrosse; Aaron and Debi Deno and their children, Elijah, Cole, Edan, Kiarra, and Isaiah Deno of Green Bay; Ryan and Lizza Catalano and their children, Ryli, Samantha, William, and Kaitlyn Catalano of Minneapolis, MN; Keith Catalano and special friend, Toni Hall of Menomonie/Minneapolis, MN; and Kent Catalano and special friend, Michaela Scott of Green Bay; mother, Gretchen Catalano of Green Bay; brothers and sisters, Kit Catalano, David and Barb Catalano, Wes and Sandy Catalano, Nita and Jon Plank, and Jennifer and Steve Hibbert; sisters-in-law, Debby and Oscar DeLeon, and Rebecca Woods, and special friend, Mark Champeau; many other relatives and friends.

Lance was preceded in death by his father; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Maxwell and Margaret Woods.

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Monday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday’s visitation will continue at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating.

Lance was always the person who helped when anyone needed him. He will be missed immensely.
