Joyce E. DeNamur

Joyce E. DeNamur, 85, Green Bay, died unexpectedly at home Monday afternoon, February 9, 2015, a day before her 86th birthday. Born in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn (Fontaine) Cartier. She married Donald (Don) DeNamur September 16, 1950 at Zion Methodist Church in Green Bay. The couple enjoyed a full life together traveling and spending time with family and friends. Don preceded her in death December 16, 2013. Joyce was a member of the Bellin Hospital Auxilary for over 35 years, contributing 41,000 volunteer hours including serving as manager/buyer of the Bellin Hospital Gift Shoppe. She was very proud of having recently knitted her 100th prayer shawl for Bethany United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful mother. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her.

Survived by her children: Donn (Sindy) DeNamur of Green Bay, David DeNamur of Minneapolis, Dale (Bonnie) DeNamur, Janelle (Steve) Maricque both of Green Bay; 3 grandchildren: Matthew DeNamur, Brett (Vanity Gee) Maricque, and Jenna Maricque; 3 great grandchildren: Trae, Amiyah and Aaliyah; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dorothy Cartier, Jeanne Cartier and Bobbi Cartier; Beverly LaFave, Mary Ann (William) Ruben, Darrold (Judy) DeNamur, Angie DeNamur, Judy (Dennis) Splitgerber, Kenneth (Kim) DeNamur, Sharon (Gene) Toebe, Suzanne DeNamur, and Geno Marrapodi; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Also preceded in death by; one daughter – Jennifer; three brothers: Calvin, Merlin and Kenny Cartier, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert DeNamur, Larry DeNamur, James DeNamur, Barbara (DeNamur) Marrapodi, Richard LaFave and William Ruben.

Friends may call at MALCORE (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M. Friday visitation will continue at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1110 Echo Lane, Green Bay, from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Friday 11 A.M. at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Weaver officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
