Jerry L. Kemp, 66, Green Bay, died peacefully on October 20, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Merrill, WI on December 28, 1947, he was a resident of Sturgeon Bay, from 1959 to 1970. As a resident of Green Bay, Jerry was well-known with his outgoing social personality amongst his friends and the community; he had a passion for recycling and making the community a better place. Jerry also loved doing his artwork and listening to music. Jerry was very active in Special Olympics and earned many metals and ribbons throughout the years.
Jerry is survived by his brother, Harry (Denise) Kemp, Las Vegas, NV; nephews, Joshua Collins, Las Vegas, NV and Jesse (Heather) Kemp, Minneapolis, MN; and great-nephews Jaden Collins and Mason Kemp.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Viola (Manthey) Kemp.
Visitation will be held at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason St., Monday (November 3, 2014) from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau. Please visit
