James J. Deprey

James. J. Deprey, 78, Green Bay, died Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2013 at a local nursing home. Born in Dyckesville on June 24, 1934 he is the son of the late John and Rose (Bader) Deprey. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1957. He married the former Etta Conard on November 7, 1959 at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Jim was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for 36 years retiring in 1996. He has been a devoted volunteer of the Salvation Army since he retired. Jim was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He enjoyed time spent at the cottage in Wausaukee and their many travels throughout the years. Jim had the passion and gift of being able to fix virtually anything.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife – Etta; four children: Lori (Dave) Destree, Todd Deprey and Lorri Heraly, Keith Deprey and Margaret Lee all of Green Bay, Eric (Andrea) Deprey of Minneapolis; 6 grandchildren: Mat (Katie) Destree, Erin and fiance’ Chris Rottier, Olivia and Haley Deprey, Adeline and Everett Deprey; one brother: John (Donna) Deprey of Green Bay; two sisters: Madeline Derenne of Lincoln, and Rose (Tom) Seidl of Luxemburg; brother-in-law: Roy Johnson of Green Bay; many brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by: one brother: Melvin Deprey; one sister: Emerine Johnson.

Friends may call at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, from 4 – 8pm Tuesday. Parish wake service 6:30pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Wednesday visitation will continue at St. Bernard Church, 440 St. Bernard Drive, Green Bay from 10am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Wednesday 11am at St. Bernard Church with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
